A very respected coalition of Black organizations, leaders and business people have selected U.S. Congressman Danny K. Davis as their choice for Mayor of the city of Chicago over three others, which included State Senator James Meeks, former Senator Carol Moseley Braun and Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Larry Rogers.

Well, it's about to be hot and heavy in Chicago. One of the first to announce his bid to become the Mayor of the City of Chicago in the aftermath of current Mayor Richard Daley is State Senator Rickey "The Tackler" Hendon. 

Today, Sen. Hendon announced that he is running for Mayor of the City of Chicago. He made the announcement on FOX news. My brother told the reporters that he is the "Black Sarah Palin." I guess there really wasn't time to elaborate but I believe he was talking about the grassroots campaign that he will launch.
