Best Tools & Tips for Thermally Straightening Hair:

• Use a Ceramic or Ionic blow dryer to straighten hair
• Use a hard rubber brush - allows the hair to get maxim straightening.
• Natural hair needs a lot of moisture therefore its its very important to moisturize the hair before its straightened. Use the Design Essentials Daily Moisturizing Lotion as a blowing drying agent.
• The looser your curl pattern, the less amount of heat you should use. For a loose wavy curl pattern, use a minimum of 300-350 degrees of heat.
• Design Essentials' pHusion Titanium Iron is true to heat temperature and gives even distribution of heat. Remember: the cheaper the iron the more damaging to the hair strand.
• Wrap your hair using a silk scarf to maintain the style. Use a paddle brush or wide tooth comb to wrap the hair.
• Look for a stylist that can educate you on maintaining your hair away from the salon. Make sure your stylist gives you hydration treatments to put moisture back into your hair.
