African-American Authors Ring in the New Year

SoftCovers: A Book Signing Event invites community to celebrate the New Year with their favorite authors.

Mingle with eight accomplished authors at SoftCovers: A Book Signing EventSaturday January 8, 2011, 1-5pm at 624 South Street (Inside Pearl of Africa).     

Purchase your autographed book by Mildred D. Muhammad (former wife of the D.C. Sniper), Qadiriyaah, Wakeel Allah, Joianne Taylor, Mecca & Michael Muhammad, Nwasha & Montsho Edu, Brother Polight, Shyaam, Michael “Warrior” Bonds, and Kevin A. Muhammad. The book genres range from health/science, self-improvement, history, urban fiction, and spirituality.

All the writers are experts, or working, in their respective fields. Mildred Muhammad (former wife of John Allen Muhammad, the D.C. Sniper), is a domestic violence survivor and advocate. Nwasha & Montsho Edu is a husband and wife team, who provides relationship counseling and advice. Michael “Warrior” Bonds is an internationally known spoken word artist and activist. All authors will give a power-packed presentation.

SoftCovers is a positive social gathering to connect writers with their fan base. Our primary goal is to foster the spirit of optimism, cooperative economics, and cultural empowerment.
