Nation of Islam I had the wonderful pleasure of being in the audience for the historic #AskFarrakhan Social Media Town Hall Meeting hosted by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan last night, September 26 from The Final Call Administration Building in Chicago, Illinois.
During the live webcast event, Minister Farrakhan, one of the most prominent and controversial activists in American history answered questions for two hours from Twitter, Facebook and YouTube users.
The Twitter hashtag #AskFarrakhan has become very popular and Minister Farrakhan frequently responds to questions from his 80,000 plus Twitter followers. For this event, there were 800 questions submitted. Min. Farrakhan said he’d answer them all on Twitter. Watch the rebroadcast at http://askfarrakhan.noi.org/
The questions reflected geographic diversity and cover topics, including the Presidential race, youth, education, foreign affairs, media, religion, hip-hop, etc.
I was blessed to be in attendance. Below are some of the answers Min. Farrakhan gave and the conversation on Twitter. Be sure and follow Min. Farrakhan at @LouisFarrakhan to hear quick, timely words of wisdom from him as well as to submit your question.
Attendees to this event included NFL legend Jim Brown, Father Michael Pfleger, rapper and activist Rhymefest, Carl West, Student Minister Ava Muhammad, Journalist Ali Baghdadi, and many more.
