"The Great GOD Send Moment that changed my life was meeting Oscar Brown Jr. in August 1985! I studied with Oscar in his Hyde Park apartment in Fall '85 and Spring '86 hoping to be admitted to the Yale School of Drama. The hip audition we developed didn't work because it was misunderstood, which was often the case with Oscar and his work. He later said, "What the hell, I didn't get the degree to do this, just live it, dig life, and it will come. I returned home saddened, got a day job, and dreamed of this show; 30 years later it is finally here - Morris Gearring
