“What started out as wording on a card to his wife has spawned into a fun way for people to raise money for different causes and an online hit with customers across the country” says Lynn Topher, media spokesperson for Chicago-based online company MyHeartTshirt.com, a division of SoVue, Inc.
“When the founder ‘Heart’d’ his wife in a card, he wanted to create a T-shirt to show her his “heart” with her name. But the only company that provided that specific service online was in the U.K. He then got the idea to start his own online company to give others the ability to “Heart” their significant other, kids, pets, causes, church, etc.,” says Ms. Topher.
After discovering that his friend was diagnosed with cancer, he created a specialty heart with a ribbon to help raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness and research. Soon afterwards, there would be “Specialty Support Hearts” for Autism Research, Domestic Violence against Women, and Equal Rights for Gays and Lesbians with the goal of raising money to fund research and a cure, provide families with the latest in technology for autistic children, or just provide financial assistance to anyone in need.
“Our newest support efforts for autism research allow individuals to ‘Heart’ their old high school since statistics show that only 56% of autistic children graduate from high school. Gratitude should prompt servitude,” notes Ms. Topher.
Recently launched MyHeartTshirt.com gives anyone the opportunity to truly “Heart” what they love and support different causes through signature ‘I Heart’ designs. Google us at www.myhearttshirt.com
