My Facebook Experiment to Call all 5,000 of my FB Friends; 25 and counting
I talked to a good number of Facebook Friends today. Many saw my post and were people that I have talked to in length at least once before, some dozens of times.
Three people didn't have much time to talk, but shared a HEARTY laugh with me as they said: "I didn't think you'd call!" and "Are you serious?"
I talked to a long -time dear friend, a grieving mother, a couple of brothers in faith and business and some new friends.
So, nothing out of the ordinary in the conversations other than they all in some way inspire me by their dedication to living out their passion or pain. I am reminded of how much the art of a phone call is a lost art and people are pleasantly surprised by a phone call.
It reminds me of a lesson I received from the networking guru, George Fraser who said he has a FOURMULA for success he uses everyday.
- Writes or emails four current friends
- Calls four old friends
- Calls four new friends
- Makes four sales calls
