I am 40 years of age. I’ve been married to the man I fell in love with in college. Since then, in the past 15 years, I’ve been pregnant six times and given birth to six beautiful children. And I had all of the extra weight to prove it! But since the birth of my 6th child in 2008, I’ve lost nearly 70 pounds.” said author Lorraine S. Muhammad.

Not only is she a wife and mother, but Muhammad works full-time as a Manager in an Information Technology Department, she’s active in The Muhammad’s Study Group – Bloomington/Normal, the Boys & Girls Club, Mentoring and Providing Scholarships (M.A.P.S.), Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and Jack and Jill of America, Inc.

During her weight loss journey she also home schools her children that are now in the fourth, sixth, and ninth grades.
