Rerun Drops Musical Debut for 'Slim Chance' at Fat Albert Role

HOLLYWOOD--Shedding his tam and overalls for blue jeans and red t-shirt, Rerun, the famed pop locker from the popular 70s sitcom "What's Happening," has decided to put his career on the line for a chance to play Fat Albert in the upcoming movie produced by Bill Cosby, sources close to the performer revealed.

"The critics say there is only a slim chance I'll get to play Fat Albert, but I'm confident Mr. Cosby will see how much I look like Fat Albert," said Rerun.

As reported in BEAN SOUP TIMES previously, Rerun was poised for a comeback in the upcoming musical, "What's Happening Then." He was to play a washed up pop locker from a 70s sitcom that cannot find work, other than guest appearances as a pop locker.

An inside source revealed that Rerun dropped out at the last minute fearing he would be typecast, thereby preventing him this golden opportunity. Rerun has already reunited with his T.V. pal Dewayne who is reportedly teaching him how to say, "Hey, hey, hey."
