RAMALLAH, West Bank--While surveying the anti-American demonstrations during his first peacekeeping mission as Secretary of State, Colin Powell admitted to both Palestinian leader Yassar Arafat and Israeli Prime Minister-elect Ariel Sharon that he carries a pistol in the "small of his back." 

"I saw some demonstrators burning a photo of me on the news last night. Let me catch someone in the crowd doing it today and I'm busting a cap," said Powell. "I'm from the boogie down Bronx kid."
