Popular Chicago Rapper to Announce Campaign to Take Willie Cochran's City Council Seat?

Rhymefest Goes From One Arm Push Up to Pushing up on Chicago Politics? I know we are all looking at the governor and mayor campaigns, but do not sleep on the rapper, born Che Smith, who is about to announce a run for Alderman of Chicago’s 20th Ward. He tweeted to his nearly 18,000 followers that he wanted them to meet him for a big announcement. He included the video below.

According to the video, which makes it pretty clear, Brother Che's announcement will take place in Washington Park at the Exclusively Yours Auto Spa  located 5820 S. State St.
This neighborhood and business sits in the 20th Ward. The current alderman is Willie B. Cochran. With the potential to create viral commercials like the One Arm Push Up, Brother Che will definitely excite people 45 and younger to get involved in local politics in a big way.

WOW! I must admit that I'm a 41 y/o Black Male and I have ONLY been excited( unfortunately)by 3 political races; Mayor Harold Washington, President Obama, and now this, Candidate Elect Che Smith! Politics has always been an issue of trust for me, and quite frankly Che Smith has over the years, through the avenue of music, used his voice for The Truth and is a consistant and constant poetic voice of The Truth. God Bless Him!
