How did you get into comedy?
It started in high school. I was reading the local weekend section of the paper (I never like school too much, but I made the honor roll. I was always done before the other students) and iI seen where they had an "Open Mic" night at a comedy club. So I went there and signed up and the rest was history...a brother was funny the first time I grabbed the mic.

Because your craft is cracking jokes, people sometimes think comedy is easy. What's your response?
For those who think it is I challenge them to"grab the mic"......I thought so.

Where did you grow up?
I lived in Germany until I was 10-years-old. Then I lived in Washington, D.C. And that was a shock for my ass. The inner city will make you tough, and I had to learn to defend myself. The was the best at jokes. ...Don't Let the Light Skin fool ya....I can get on dat ass with the best of them.

Who are your comic inspirations?
Eddie Murphy and my father, he amazed me how quick witted he was.

Who is your favorite currently active comedian?
Paul Mooney and Rodney Winfield

What was your first comedy gig?
at a Bally's gym in the little dining area, I got paid $15 and Martin Lawrence got $50

What's the worse or best job you've held outside of comedy?
All of them because as long as I could remember I wanted to do this, so I hated them all. But when I was 15 years old I would have to help my father deliver newspapers in the winter at like 2 a.m. in the morning. I almost froze my damn toes off a couple of times.

Where did you have your worst stage performance and what happened?
Sorry but I never had a bad show, it might sound unbelievable, but I've never been BOOed, heckled off stage...people have always showed me love.
10. What's your fantasy comedy line-up for a 20 city tour?

What's the first funniest thing you remember saying?
The funnies thing is a true story. It's about being shot at Mc Donald's. That really happened, but at the time, I didn't stop and tell the shooter to spread them bullets around. I just ran like hell, until I fell out. Or, the other funnies things is that Light Skin Brothers aren't in no more, but that has changed...the Rock, Vin Diesel, and Prince is hot again.

What tools or accessories (towel, water, joint, etc.) do you absolutely have to have on stage?
All I need is a stool, mic with a cord and my straw. Come to the show and see why.

Are you looking forward to performing in Chicago?

Yes, because Chicago is one the realest places. They let you know where you stand and there are so many good comedians in Chicago so they have heard and seen damn near everything. You gotta come with it and I love that pressure. I love this business. It has afforded me with so many material goods, but the most importantly, it gave me the opportunity to travel the world and meet some great people, like the ones in Chicago. I will forever be grateful to GOD, for blessing me with the talent to put smiles on peoples faces.

Who from your past would you like to see in the audience one night and what would you say to them?
I want to see all the girls who thought I was too silly, and not cool enough like the athletes who are now changing your tires at the local discount tire store or selling you the latest sneaker at the mall. I’d thank them for keeping me focused.
